Fifteen persons are homeless after fire gutted the ground floor of a two-story apartment in Diego Martin.
Four Roads and Wrightson Road responded to a call that an apartment was a fire on Donahue Street, Covigne Road around 9:30 last night.
When the firefighters arrived they were hampered by cars parked along the roadway which obstructed them from accessing the fire quickly.
One occupant Nikesha Crewe had to be taken to hospital due to smoke inhalation.
The estimated losses are said to be one million dollars.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
