Students who would have sat the Secondary Entrance Assessment examination‘s fate were revealed today as the results were released by the Ministry of Education across the country.
The top scorer in this year’s SEA came from Caitlyn Brooker at the San Fernando Trinidad Muslim League. Caitlyn will be attending Naparima Girls’ High School in September.
Second placed scorer was Michael Beepath of Avocat Vedic School and will be attending Naparima Boys’ College in September.
Over in the sister Isle, Tobago, Shae Jaheem Roman and Gabrielle Murray from The Scarborough Methodist School placed 1st and they will be attending Bishop’s High School in September.
Meanwhile Minster in the Ministry of Education, Dr. Lovell Francis in an interview with News Power Now congratulated the students who excelled in the exam.
Dr. Francis said he was very pleased with this year’s results, as there was significant improvement in students’ performance as compared to previous years.
When asked about the performance of schools in the Port-of-Spain environs, Dr. Francis said no child should be left out and is driven to ensure that all schools are equipped to assist every child for greatness.
Meanwhile Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association Second Vice President , Lynsley Doodhai, in a News Power Now interview urged all student to apply themselves , stay focus and work hard as they move into secondary school.
