A 35-year- old employee of the Water and Sewage Authority has lost his life in a motorcycle accident. The victim has been identified as 35- year-old Kurt Ramjohn of Indian Walk, Moruga. Reports indicate that Ramjohn was killed when he fell off his motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries. The incident is said to have occurred as Ramjohn was riding along Moruga Road near Sixth Company.
Officers on the scene said Ramjohn crashed into an iron electricity pole before falling off the motorcycle.
The EHS arrived on the scene and the victim was taken to the Princes Town Health Facility where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
An autopsy is expected to be done on his body, today.
Ramjohn is the second WASA worker to be killed in an accident within the past week.
Last week Monday, Densel Austin was driving his car along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway when he was hit from the back by another vehicle within the vicinity of the St Augustine Girls High School (SAGHS).
The collision caused Austin’s car to swerve off the highway. He and two other occupants were taken to hospital where Austin died while receiving emergency treatment.
