$5 Mill allocated to families of police officers killed in line of duty

The government reveals that to date five million dollars have been allocated to the families of police officers killed in the line of duty.

National Security Minister Edmund Dillon made the revelation in the House of Representatives.

However, he noted that for safety reasons details pertaining to the beneficiaries cannot be made public.

The retired Major General was asked in the parliament by the Opposition to provide the total compensation paid to the beneficiaries of deceased members of the protective services killed in the line of duty as announced on April 18th, 2017.
