The Communications Director in the Office of the Chief Secretary, Tobago House of Assembly wishes to advise the Tobago public that a section of the Accident and Emergency waiting room of the Scarborough General Hospital will be closed for one month, starting today, Monday July 4th.
The Tobago Regional Health Authority has advised that this move is necessary to facilitate upgrade works in the patient reception and waiting area, in order to improve the delivery of service.
Work on the Accident and Emergency waiting room is scheduled to be completed within a month.
In the meantime, to ensure minimum interruption of service, patients will be escorted by customer service personnel and ward attendants, to an area at the back of the emergency room facing the Mental Health building.
Traffic will also be redirected, as upgrades will affect parts of the hospital’s car park as well.
The TRHA apologises for any inconvenience caused by this work.
