Acting Assistant Superintendent and Public Information Officer of Police pleads with citizens to practice road safety

NEWS GRAPHIC 8At Wednesday’s weekly Police Briefing, Acting Assistant Superintendent and Public Information Officer of Police, Michael Pierre reminded citizens to be cautious on the nation’s roadway.

In the wake of the recent road fatalities, Acting Assistant Superintendent Pierre, urged drivers to be careful on the roads due to rainfalls, to ensure their vehicles are working properly and are in good condition to be driven.

According to statistics from the Traffic and Highway Division, 135 road deaths have been recorded for 2015.

Pierre also stated that even though the number of road fatalities has seen a decreased from last year, the

authorities’ wishes too see a further decrease in the number of road deaths.
