The Contractors Association of Trinidad and Tobago reveals that it has supplied the Estate Management and Business Development Company with information on the projected use of red sand by its members for the next six months.
There have been reports of an alleged shortage in the supply of red sand locally.
Recently, Agriculture Minister Clarence Rambarath said the E.M.B.D. has taken measures to restore order and control relating to sand pits, which fall under the purview of the state-owned entity.
Ramlogan Roopnarinesingh, CATT President, in a News Power Now interview this afternoon said now that the association has given the relevant data to the EMBD it is hoping that very soon the state enterprise will respond.
