The Attorney General is appealing to the Opposition to give its support in parliament on government’s move to have whistle -blower legislation passed to address corruption and improve efficiency at state companies.
On Tuesday, Chairman of Transparency International, José Carlos Ugaz, called on leaders including politicians to demonstrate the will and courage to address corruption.
He made the comment at the opening of a major anti-corruption conference organized by the Trinidad and Tobago Transparency Institute.
