The Sangre Grande Regional Corporation’s Council and Administration has embarked on a beautification project along with the Sangre Grande Volunteer Network.
Matthew Kailah, National Volunteer Coordinator attached to the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, told News Power Now that the corporation along with the blessing of its Chairman, Martin Terry Rondon were enthusiastic about the assistance given to improve the country and the Sangre Grande area.
Kailah said the refurbishment drive started with the Monte Cristo Park in hopes of hosting several events for persons within the area and in time for the Christmas season.
Minister Haji Kazim Hosein commended the hard-work and dedication of the volunteers saying that teamwork is important and he is very pleased to see both members of Council and Administration taking pride in their communities.
