The Public Services Association has instructed workers of the Board of Inland Revenue at Trinidad House Port of Spain to leave the building.
The PSA claims it has taken this stance due to occupational health and safety concerns at the location.
President of the PSA, Watson Duke, spoke on the development at a media briefing held at the union’s Abercrombie Street Port of Spain headquarters this afternoon.
Mr. Duke indicated that several workers have been displaying health challenges because of the situation.
The trade unionist said during talks held with the Finance Ministry earlier this year the state has fail to take remedial action on areas discussed.
