Coast Guards are today continuing their search for three persons after a boating accident.
Three others are said to be warded in serious condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.
According to reports, one man identified as Sheldon Guerra lost his life in the accident, which occurred at 8:20pm on Tuesday at Los Iros Beach.
Reports indicate that Guerra and several other people were aboard his pirogue, “Lisa,” on a trip off the coast of Los Iros to retrieve a fishing net when another boat collided with them.
Reports astate that 40- year- old Guerra of Carapal Road, Los Iros, had gone out to sea around 7 pm with 42- year- old Edward Williams of Charmaine Village, Buenos Aires, 31- year- old Kibew Simon of Erin Beach Road and 24- year- old Keyala Primus of Los Iros Beach Road.
While retrieving a net another boat called “Lisa” came into contact with their vessel.
It is believed Guerra was seated at the point of impact. Primus and Williams were thrown out the boat while Simon remained on board.
On the other boat was 40-year- old Edmund “Blues” Charles of La Union Road, Joel Seerattan, of Erin, Jerome Mitchell, of Guayaguayare and 25 year old Kel Hagley of Diego Martin.
