A Glock pistol and a quantity of ammunition were seized during an anti-crime exercise by officers of the Carenage Police Station.
Officers conducted the exercise between 4:00 and 6:00pm on Tuesday in the Carenage District.
Acting on information received, the officers proceeded to Upper Haig Street, Carenage, where they conducted a search of an abandoned house.
The search resulted in a pistol and magazine with nine rounds of 9mm ammunition being found.
No arrests were made in connection with the find.
