A motive for the murder of a 58 year old man is yet to be ascertained, however police are investigating with hopes of detaining those involved.
Dead is Lochan Ramlochan, a caretaker of a house located at Lothian Road in Princes Town.
According to police reports, the man’s body was discovered around 8 o’clock last evening, by someone who went looking for him, and saw him lying motionless when they looked through a window.
The Princes Town police were contacted and the door to the house was subsequently broken down.
The victim’s hands had been bound and an electrical cord had been found around his neck.
The room had been ransacked, police say.
Police suspect robbery as Ramlochan’s employers are presently out of the country.
