Children with learning disabilities are now being afforded help through Student Support Services, in an effort to assist those who struggle with day to day activities, through the Ministry of Education.
Highlighting the initiative yesterday on, On Point on our sister station Boom Champions 94.1fm, Minster in the Ministry of Education, Dr. Lovell Francis said children lash out in different ways that not all teachers may be able to pin point.
Dr. Francis said over 500 workers have been assigned to Student Support Services to ensure that any child with a disability is able to access suitable help and get the development they need.
Meanwhile the Minister shedding light on outstanding money owed to contractors attached to the Education Facilities Company Ltd. in a sum of over $800M dollars Limited said they were still able to build three schools during the July/August holiday.
Dr. Lovell Francis said he is still very grateful that all schools were able to be open for the news term.
