The Met Office also notes that an increase in the number, duration and intensity of consecutive hot days and nights can lead to short duration hot spells.

Mean maximum temperatures are expected to be warmer than the average 32.2 degrees in Trinidad and 31.2 in Tobago, the forecast says.
