Citizens interested in the police force are told not to be discouraged by the negative elements

Persons interested in starting a career in the police service are being encouraged not to become discouraged by the negative elements plaguing the organisation  and tarnishing its image.

The advices comes from Public Affairs Officer of the TTPS, Jamelia Bannister , in a recent interview at the Way Forward initiative,  a concept of sister station Boom Championships 94.I FM at the National Library in Port of Spain.

Way Forwards highlights  a variety of  careers and job opportunities available to citizens and was started  in 2008.

Ms Bannister said the police service needs people who are eager to improve its image and contribute meaningfully to nation building.

The TTPS official also confirmed citizens can look forward to a greater level of public interaction with  members of the service.
