Citizens warned to do their part before a return to what occurred in 1990

queen_street_0The President of the Seventh Day Adventist Church is calling for pepper spray to be made legal.

Pastor Leslie Moses was at the time addressing mourners at the Funeral service for Shannon Banfield.

He said pepper spray is one way people can defend themselves against criminals.

Last week Thursday Shannon’s body was found in the warehouse of IAM and Company on Charlotte Street in Port of Spain.

Since then there has been an outpouring of anger being expressed by many.

On Tuesday as family, friends and well-wishers said goodbye, Pastor Clive Dottin urged them against retaliation.

The funeral service took place at the San Juan Seventh Day Adventist Church, at Prizgar Road, San Juan.

This was followed by a private interment at Belgroves Funeral Home at Orange Grove Road, Trincity.
