Word reaching News Power Now is that there are serious implications arising out of the late payment of contractors by the Tobago House of Assembly.

The claim comes from the President of the Tobago Division of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Demi John Cruickshank.

Speaking at a media briefing Mr. Cruickshank said the situation is putting a strain on the operations of both small and large contractors and insisted that the matter should be treated with a level of urgency.

The THA funds should not be an the account of Mr. London who makes interest with these funds. Contractors have topay their workers. Therefore they need the payment immediately after they completed their job. If this continues Mr Cruickshank has to make a criminal report against THA and all the members of this club have to be put behind iron bars.Ever since Mr. Robinson stepped down as chairman of THA this organisation has become a secret club.
