Despite assurances from the Blind Welfare Association of Trinidad and Tobago about health and safety conditions, the Central Executive of the All Trinidad General Workers Trade Union says it is not satisfied with the present condition at the workplace for members of the Association in South Trinidad.
The union held a media conference on Thursday, in front of the Office of the Blind Welfare Association located at #121 Coffee Street, San Fernando.
Nirvan Maharaj A.T.G.W.T.U. President in a News Power Now interview this afternoon said there are still areas of concern and the union would like to meet with the B.W.A.T.T on the matter as soon as possible.
In response, Kenneth Suratt Executive Officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Blind Welfare Association, speaking during a News Power Now interview said he is aware of the concerns raised and assured that they are being addressed.
