Former Sport and Social Development Minister, Manohar Ramsaran, is of the view that the leadership of the Congress of the People should have tendered their resignation following the party’s poor showing in Monday’s local government election.
Speaking on the Your View Programme on Power 102.1FM on Thursday afternoon, the former Chaguanas Member of Parliament urged the C.O.P. executive to quickly review the way it conducts its affairs, get its act together and correct weaknesses identified.
Mr Ramesar said the C.O.P. leadership should not wait for calls from the membership to step down, but do so voluntarily.
