The Power Breakfast show hosted 3 candidates for the postponed COP leadership elections. In a three way conversation LIVE on air, Nicole Dyer-Griffith, Former COP chairman Carolyn Seepersad Bechan and Dr Sharon-Ann Gopaul-McNicol had what could be described as an unofficial debate. The Legal issue of Dyer-Griffith’s eligibility having left the party and now returning to contest leadership has caused the executives to postpone the elections due on July 9th till internal matters were settled and a General Membership meeting held on July 23rd.
Listen to the discussion below as it happened, the conversation got very heated at times and we heard the position of the respective candidates on Dyer-Griffith’s eligibility to contest the top position and the decision to postpone the elections.
(We apologize for the quality of the recording. Some distortion could not be avoided when engaging in this 3 way phone interview)
