Government is being urged not to ignore the recommendations contained in the report done on the Manpower of the Police Service. The appeal comes from Criminologist Professor Ramesh Deosaran.
On Tuesday the TTPS manpower report was submitted to Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley. The 600 page document was presented to the ruling administration after nine months of work.
Professor Deosaran asked the government to act on the findings of the report.
In response, Dr. Rowley assured that the work done would not have been done so in vain.
He admitted that there is need to transform the Police Service, which he said could be a costly exercise. He further lamented that inefficiencies must be addressed.
