The 3.5 million dollar financial reward offered by the state for information in connection with the murder of Dana Seetahal Senior Counsel has been criticized by St. Joseph Member of Parliament, Terrence Deyalsingh.
Crime Stoppers is offering $1 million dollars for details related to the crime, while government is contributing $2.5 million dollars to the cause.
MP Deyalsingh said the nation is quickly moving towards what he described as a failed state.
Mr. Deyalsingh said every life lost to crime, is precious.
However, Congress of the People Political Leader and Legal Affair Minister, Prakash Ramadhar, during his contribution in the House of Representatives on Friday afternoon, warned politicians not to use crime to score points or gain mileage.
