There have been reports from several media outlets throughout the Caribbean that Caribbean Airlines will end its three weekly flights to London early 2016.
The reason given for the decision was that the route was not a profitable one for the Airline.
Several media reports indicated that a statement issued by CAL revealed that the Boeing 767s would also be retired from its fleet.
However Minister of Trade, Industry, Investment and Communications Vasant Bharath has revealed that a concrete decision has not been taken by the Airline on the London route just yet.
He made the comments on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102.1 fm earlier today.
The Trade Minister sought to clarify that the real issue was not the stability of the route, but rather the type of aircraft being used.
He said that options were being looked at to ensure that CAL could still maintain the London route.
