Port of Spain Division police is investigating a report in which a woman was reportedly killed this morning during a motor vehicular accident along Wrightson Road, Port of Spain.
Details are still coming to hand however our partners at Looptt quote sources as saying that the accident took place just after 4:00 am along the East bound lane of Wrightson Road.
The woman was said to have been crossing the roadway in the vicinity of Radisson’s Hotel, when she was hit by a vehicle.
Officials reportedly stated that they have no reports of the vehicle stopping following the accident.
Investigators are still out on scene. More on this as it becomes available.
As a result, East-bound traffic has been diverted onto Richmond Street.
Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes if possible.
A schoolboy is today warded in serious condition after he was knocked down this morning.
Preliminary reports indicate that the boy was hit by a maxi taxi around 7:30 am today near to Pashley Street, Beetham.
Eyewitnesses reveal that the 14-year-old boy, who was unaware of his injuries at first, tried to ‘walk it off’ but soon collapsed by the roadway.
He is a student of the South East Port-of-Spain Government Secondary School.
