Education Minister Assures School Rerfurbishment is Progressing

Trinidad and Tobago’s Education Minister, Dr Tim Gopeesingh, has placed at five, the number of the schools that remain closed into the second week of the new academic term, which began on September 2nd.

On the opening day of school, the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association said refurbishment or upgrade work was still going on at  over 25 schools.

TTUTA complained the school repair vocation programme began late, a factor which contributed to the situation.

However, speaking at the distribution of laptops at the St James Secondary School ton Thursday, Minister Gopeesingh said progress is being made.
