Minster of Education, Dr. Tim Gopeesingh, says teachers who stay away from school at the Longdenville Presbyterian School will be taken before the Teaching Service Commission.

Dr. Gopeesingh, speaking with members of the media following a health fair at his constituency office said a decision by teachers to stay away from class is the reason for the school being closed.

He said he was advised by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education, and the Chief Education officer that teachers were breaching the regulations governing there service.

    Please correct spelling. It should be “their” service.
    Parenthesis mine. Without “the” the PS is also the CEO, and I believe these positions are held by two different persons.
