The Opposition Leader is calling on Finance Minister, Larry Howai, to inform citizens of the implications and impact the removal of the fuel subsidy will have on national carrier Caribbean Airlines.
He made the comment while speaking during the Budget Debate in the House of Representatives on Friday.
In Monday’s 61.3 billion dollars budget presentation, Minister Howai said he had been assured by Caribbean Airlines’ board that the fuel subsidy removal would not have an impact on the price of tickets.
However, People’s National Movement Political Leader, Dr Keith Rowley, insisted there are still many questions to be answered by the government concerning the move.
Dr Rowley also took issue with what he described as the reintroduction of the contentious Property Tax under a revised title the Land and Building Tax.
