The Tobago Division of the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Industry & Commerce estimates financial losses due to challenges affecting trade between Port-of-Spain and Scarborough at around five hundred million dollars.

President of the group, Demi John Cruickshank, in a News Power Now interviews this afternoon cites problems facing air and sea transportation between the islands attributing to the situation.

He said low occupancy levels at hotels and guest houses have adversely affected the tourism sector in the sector.

Mr. Cruickshank said the going forward urgent action is needed to restore the reliability and gave insight into missed opportunities where prospective visitors have chosen other Caribbean countries.
