Trust and transparency are cited by a trade union leader as key factors that will encourage the return of the labour movement to the social dialogue process.
Joseph Remy President of the Federation of Independent Trade Union and Non-Governmental Organizations made the comment in a News Power Now interview this afternoon.
The trade unions have decided to pull out from the National Tripartite Advisory Council which also has input from employers, business and the government.
However, several calls have been from various quarters from the labour movement to reconsider its position.
Mr Remy said he is not ruling out a return by labour to the arrangement but believes certain conditions must be satisfied before.
He noted that the unions will not enter a forum that is just for show or public relations campaign.
