Former director of the Strategic Services Agency, Nigel Clement was awarded a default judgment when the State failed to enter a defence in his lawsuit for wrongful dismissal and breach of contract, after his appointment was revoked in November 2010 with over two years left on his contract.
Clement is set to receive a million dollar compensation package from the State after serving in the post for nine months.
Speaking on the matter this morning on the Power Breakfast show, Head of the Law Association, Reginald Armour SC gave an insight into the judgment that was handed down.

As part of the judgment, Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh ordered that Clement’s compensation be assessed by a High Court master.
