The recent tragic deaths of two teenagers must be a wake-up call for this country.
This is the statement being made MP for Barataria/San Juan Dr. Fuad Khan.
He said that the recent tragic deaths of a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, who were found hanging in separate incidents is a reflection of where we have reached as a people.
He also maintained that mental health in this country needs to be addressed urgently.
He says that there are children in T&T who need help and families who are suffering financially.
To this end he says he is starting an ‘adopt a family’ program in his constituency which he hopes will eventually be done throughout the country.
He disclosed that until the recession dissipates, instead of just once a year it will be done once a year or every holiday, it will be done once every month.
