The death of former Prime Minister Patrick Manning has lent to continued tributes being delivered by a plethora of officials, many of whom would have dealt with Mr. Manning on some level during his service in public life. Former Port of Spain Mayor, Louis Lee Sing was one such person.
Speaking on the legacy of the Former Prime Minister this morning, Mr. Lee Sing said he saw a man who was driven to leave Trinidad and Tobago better than he had met it.
He noted that Mr. Manning had given focus to areas that many others had not and had sought to develop an independent population.
Mr. Lee Singh however lamented that there was one thing that Mr. Manning failed to do as it related to social programmes, and that lied in the insistence that they were taken advantage of.
