Former Prime Minister Patrick Manning remains hospitalized.
He was admitted to a private ward at the San Fernando General Hospital around 7 Monday night.
Mr Manning has a history of medical challenges having had a stroke, a kidney removed and a pace maker implanted.
News Power Now understands that a team of doctors headed by Doctor Kamta Ramcharran are closely monitoring Mr Manning.
Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, has urged citizens to pray for Mr Manning.
The Opposition United National Congress has, via media release, has issued a statement noting with deep concern, recent news that former Prime Minister, Patrick Manning has been hospitalized.
Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad Bissessar says that on behalf of all Opposition MPs, Senators and public officials, prayers are being sent to Mr. Manning and his wife Mrs. Hazel Manning, for the best care and comfort in this time of his ill-health.
