On Tuesday the report done by the committee appointed to address the Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses Programme or GATE will be handed over to the Education Ministry.
The government has assured that GATE will not be stopped. However, the ruling administration said there is need to closely monitor the initiative to avoid misuse and abuse.
Education Minister, Anthony Garcia, said once he has the report done on GATE it will be reviewed by the cabinet.
Minister Garcia was speaking at a media briefing at the Education Ministry’s, Alexandra Street, St Clair Office.
