Former Housing Minister, Dr. Roodal Moonilal this morning recalled that the UFF Commission of enquiry, conducted under the then Patrick Manning led PNM government, had indicated that a number of projects were not feasible, among them the Government Campus Plaza.
Dr. Moonilal spoke on the Power Breakfast show this morning, highlighting that while there was a level of mutual respect between himself and the late Patrick Manning, there were in fact a number of policy disagreements between them as well. He said there were often disagreements over processes and people chosen for projects.
Highlighting the Government Campus Plaza, Dr. Moonilal said there were matters involving the project that he had to sort out when he took office in 2010.
He explained that outfitting the government campus plaza would have been in excess of 1 billion dollars.
