Southern Division Police recovered a total of seven guns and ammunition between Friday night and Sunday morning in the Division.
The find included a high-powered rifle and a pistol with over one hundred rounds of ammunition.
The latest find was on Sunday morning when a police party coordinated by Head of the Southern Division Senior Supt. Zamsheed Mohammed and included officers of the San Fernando CID and Task Force.
According to police reports, a search warrant executed at a house in Petit Cafe, Princes Town around 6 o’clock on Sunday morning where the contraband was located.
Two teenagers, ages 16 and 18 who were in the house were arrested and charges were expected to be laid against them.
A quantity of marijuana was also found in the house.
A shotgun and a pistol were recovered in Gasparillo, one pistol in Ste. Madeleine and a revolver and pistol in La Romaine.
Southern Division Police have recovered 152 firearms so far for the year.
