The discovery of human remains in Valencia has been engaging the attention of police authorities.
According to reports, the discovery was made by a woman who was fishing in the area near a bamboo patch off Valencia Road on Saturday.
The Valencia police were contacted and officers of the Homicide Bureau and Crime Scene Unit along with a District Medical Officer visited the scene, where they later discovered a shallow grave containing more human remains.
The area was cordoned off and the remains were ordered to be taken to the Forensic Science Centre in St James.
Reports further state police were informed the remains could have belonged to a teenaged boy who recently went missing, however due to the advanced state of decomposition more would be known following an autopsy examination.
A man is said to be currently assisting police with their investigations.
