The Meteorological Office is today saying that there is some improvement expected in weather conditions.
New Year celebrations were dampened for some who found themselves having to bail out water from their homes due to the inclement weather conditions.
Meteorologist Akil Nancoo says while some rainfall is still expected mostly in hilly areas less precipitation is expected overall.
However he maintained that strong low level winds will still agitate sea conditions, as such sea bathers and beach goers are being warned to be extremely careful.
Meanwhile Acting CEO of the ODPM Captain Neville Wint says that the Mayaro Regional Cooperation’s areas were most affected by flooding.
He revealed however that all of the areas impacted have received help.
