COSTAATT BOARDMembers of the newly appointed Board of the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT), received their instruments of appointment from the Honourable Anthony Garcia, Minister of Education and Dr. the Honourable Lovell Francis, Minister of State in the Ministry of Education at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Education’s Head Office on Tuesday 12th July, 2016.

In his address to the newly appointed Board, Minister Garcia described the functions of COSTATT as being very significant.

He said that COSTATT, was a teaching, research and examination body.

He further stated the Ministry of Education, and by extension the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, are extremely pleased with the growth of COSTATT and the work that  it  has been doing and the contribution it has been making in the area of tertiary education.

Minister Garcia praised the College for its work in developing tertiary level education.

He also extended praise and gratitude to the COSTAATT President Dr. Gillian Paul and members of her executive team for their tremendous contribution in education.

Minister Francis described COSTATT as one of the Ministry’s premier tertiary level institutions which has bridged the educational gap for students who might not have had the opportunity to obtain tertiary level certification to study for an Associate Degree or a Bachelor Degree.

COSTATT’s President Dr. Gillian Paul thanked the Ministry of Education and by extension the Government of Trinidad and Tobago for their continued support.

She said the new Board is coming at a very critical time in the institution’s development.
