The Indo-Trinbago Equality Council, ITEC, has lodged a formal complaint against the Integrity Commission, regarding the manner the commission’s Chairman has responded on more than one occasion against the Government….
In the letter ITEC questioned the process and agenda of the Integrity Commission regarding the eagerness in which Chairman, Dr Eric St Cyr, made public pronouncements, on the issue surrounding a friend of the Prime Minister, who may or may not receive a Government contract.
ITEC also raised questions about the President’s appointments to the Integrity Commission…
It calls on the Equal Opportunities Commission, to investigate what it describes as inequality of treatment, being meted out to the Peoples Partnership, as opposed to the PNM.
And given the nature of the complaint, ITEC has urged that this complaint be treated with a sense of urgency.
