Amid concerns raised by former Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar about the Strategic Services Agency (SSA) Bill, a former National Security Minister says he is against any bill that infringes on the privacy of citizens.
Opposition Leader Kamla Persad Bissessar yesterday said there was little national commentary on the legislation and that situation should change as the provisions in the Bill would breach privacy rights of “every citizen and even non-citizens who may be visiting Trinidad and Tobago.”
Former National Security Minister, Jack Warner today told News Power Now, he does not support any bill that infringes on the privacy of citizens.
Mister Warner offered words of advice to the government and officials of national security, on the way forward as it relates to combatting crime in this country.
