Former FIFA Vice President and Trinidad and Tobago National Security Minister, Jack Warner will spend the night at the Golden Grove Prison tonight.
The development comes following his appearance before Chief Magistrate, Marcia Ayers—Caesar in the Port of Spain 8th Magistrate’s Court this afternoon. He was granted bail with surety in the sum of 2.5 million dollars however, processing was not completed this afternoon.
Mr. Warner, represented by attorneys Keith Scottland, Fyard Hosein, Rehka Ramjit and Rishi Dass, voluntarily surrendered to Fuad Squad police in Port- of- Spain shortly before being taken to court this afternoon.
He was charged with 12 offences, among them counts of scheme, two counts of conspiring to using wire and radio and television, one count of transporting a monetary instrument and conspiracy to obtain money under false pretenses.
The magistrate today mandated that Mr. Warner surrender his passport to the court and present himself to the Arouca Police on Mondays and Thursdays between 6am and 6pm.
The matter was adjourned to Thursday 9th July, 2015.
