They were calling for discussions on the impending move to the UWI South campus in Debe.
Copeland was at the time addressing UWI’s St Augustine annual council meeting.
Students who arrived at the campus met the gates closed off, tied with wires and rope, which
prompted them to begin chanting and shouting their frustrations.
The students say they have so far not been able to get a meeting with anyone in authority, to
discuss the planned move.
