Minister of Education Anthony Garcia has since advised citizens not to panic.
However in response to the recommendations given to the Government by the special task force former Education Minister Dr. Tim Goopiesingh disclosed that any cuts in the GATE program would be a retrogressive step.
Fazal Karim
Former Minister of Tertiary Education and Tertiary Skills Training Fazal Karim also criticized the recommendations.
