Man pronounced dead after previously being hit in head with a piece of lumber.

Crime SceneJhankoo Sylvester of Plum Mitan Road, Sangre Grande was found unresponsive at his home on Wednesday, and was pronounced dead.

According to police, at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sylvester and a 58-year-old suspect were seen arguing.
Witnesses told police the suspect grabbed a piece of lumber and hit Sylvester on his head.

After the argument, Sylvester returned to his home.

Pathologist Dr Valery Alexandrov, who performed an autopsy on Wednesday at the Forensic Sciences Centre, found that Sylvester died of blunt force trauma to his head.

The suspect was detained by police near the crime scene, also on Wednesday.

PC Glad of the Homicide Division Region III is continuing investigations.
