The T&T Express is reportedly non-operational due to mechanical problems being experienced again.
A media statement issued by the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago today, indicates that the 6:30 am sailing from Trinidad and the 4 pm sailing from Tobago today, have been cancelled.
This situation follows problems experienced with the vessel over the weekend.
Yesterday, News Power Now was reliably informed by Port Authority Communications Manager, Vilma Lewis Cockburn that the vessel had undergone repairs over the weekend, and was back up and running yesterday. She had stated that the 6:30 am sailing was delayed and did not leave the Port of Spain dock until 9:30 am yesterday.
Minority Leader for the Tobago House of Assembly, Watson Duke commenting on the matter yesterday, told News Power Now that the vessels are in need of proper maintenance and lamented that no one seems to care about the country.
