Member of Parliament for Pointe-a- Pierre, David Lee, has asked government to be careful of how it carries out plans and decisions regarding the gaming industry.
Unions representing persons employed in the gambling sector have described as punitive increased taxes for the industry which were announced in the October 2nd National Budget.
They complain that the move can have serious implications including the loss of jobs for thousands of persons.
Mr Lee said attempts to regulate the gambling industry must be done in a responsible way.
Also giving their input to the Budget Debate was La Brea Member of Parliament, Nicole Olivierre, who focused on the enforcement of laws and regulations to better address illegal mining.
