On Wednesday members of the gaming industry protested along with other trade unions protested outside the Ministry of Works and Transport in Port of Spain over what they describe as punitive taxes for the sector.

They are calling on the government to hear their concerns and meet with them for discussions.

Speaking with reporters Gaming Association member Maxine Gonsalves said the situations required urgent attention.

Meanwhile, President General of the Oilfield Workers Trade Union, Ancel Roget,  said social dialogue is for the avenue to discuss the issue of the burden of adjustment.

The trade unionist also voiced opposition with the government’s decision to increase the cost of fuel.
