Members of the Islamic Front are planning to gather in front of the Parliament today at 3pm
Head of The Islamic Front, Umar Abdullah said this is to show solidarity with our nationals and their
families who are now being held hostage in Venezuela.
Speaking with News Power Now, Attorney at Law and spokesperson for the families, Nafeeza Mohammed said
there has been no official statement as to why the Trinidadian nationals are still being held captive.
Mohammed said that Embassy Officials are in Venezuela working on the matter.
Mohammed claims our foreign affairs are always placed on the back burner, and thus serious matters are not dealt with.
She is calling on our Foreign Affairs Minister to step in and have the matter resolved.
